The Cannabis Licence Act has just come into effect and it is very similar to the Medical Marijuana Law which was implemented in the state of Colorado. This act allows persons diagnosed with certain diseases like glaucoma, cancer, AIDS, MS, etc. also called as chronic or incurable medical conditions, to legally consume marijuana. Patients who have been diagnosed with a debilitating illness are eligible to apply for a permit to cultivate and use marijuana plants.

Initially, the three strains of cannabis, namely: Regular, Haze and Cinderella, were the only ones that were allowed to be grown legally. Later on the Medical Marijuana Law was amended to include strains that are not naturally-occurring. This new law caused a lot of confusion within the medical fraternity, as some individuals began to grow what they thought to be ‘cannabis’, but were actually another type of plant. The term cannabis is commonly used to refer to any of the above three, but they are really distinct varieties of the same plant.
While it is true that the Medical Marijuana Law doesn’t allow strains which are not natural, it is interesting to note that this includes certain types of strain which are often referred to as reefer, Skunk or Grass. Many people are now referring to this as Indica, Sagada or Hawaii weed. Some even believe that the names refer to the actual places where these plants grow, while others believe they actually mean something else entirely. However, whatever the case, these three strains are the most common.
All the cannabis strain has the same basic constituents: primarily tetrahydrocannabinol or THC, and lesser but important cannabidiol or CBD. These two chemicals work together to provide the “high” people experience when using marijuana. However, despite the similarity in the active ingredient, the medical marijuana has become much more efficient over time and it is now easier and quicker for patients to get their fix. Today, it takes about one hour to smoke an ounce of cannabis. This efficiency has made it popular amongst those who use this type of medicine to treat their ailments.
In fact, the strains differ from each other in appearance, aroma, taste and even in the preparation. Some strains are a lot darker than others and some contain more nutrients than others. There are many different ways to prepare cannabis and it all depends on the type of medicine you wish to purchase. You will need to ensure that you do your homework, research the types of pot that are available and then start looking for what you prefer. For example, if you’re looking for a high impact and more relaxing medicine, then you should look at Indica cannabis.
If you don’t care too much about the way the medicine is prepared and the variety of strains available, you will want to look at the way the medicine is consumed. Different users will enjoy various effects from cannabis depending on their mood, experience and lifestyle. As a result, you will find that there are different ways to consume cannabis. For example, smoking the cannabis is one way to ingest the medicine, but another way is to smoke pipes filled with marijuana. Regardless of which method you choose, by abiding by the new laws governing the production and sale of cannabis and by educating yourself as much as possible, you will be ensuring that the cannabis industry remains a vibrant one, free from conflicts and illegalities and operating in a manner that is only beneficial to society as a whole.
